Salticus Scenicus
Earlier I saw what I think was a female Salticus Scenicus and I noticed that she kept tapping her palps together. I was just wondering why she did that?

Just a thought, but are you sure it was female and not a male trying to attract a mate?

Although I suppose that a simple answer would be that it was trying to shake off some dust or pollen; or even attempting to get rid of some mites.
