Water spider (yes the 'proper' one!)
After a few possibles, not sures and maybe water spiders, I got a probable one on Tuesday but it was small and I didn't have time to photograph it. However yesterday I found a pair after an extensive search for water scorpions. No doubt about these two Here are a couple of pics

Female (swollen with eggs perhaps?)

A nice find and nice shots. These seem to have disappeared from the few old sites where I found them.
