Spider ID needed

Hey everyone

I have a rather strange spider in my shed, will put a photo up as soon as I get a good enough one.
It has rather long spindly legs, is dark in colour and might be around an inch in length (won't get close to it though). On all it's joint it has White blobs which look a bit like globs of glue, there are a few of it's skins from where it has shed and these blobs are still there.
Has anyone got an ideas, I know its difficult without a picture.

A rather mouldy Pholcus would be my guess too. Here are some specimens from my garden shed.
