| | | Pholcus 1, Dysdera 0 I noticed the Pholcus in my outside toilet was holding a wrapped spider and was looking considerably fatter a few days ago. The next day, I picked up the remains of the prey and I was shocked to find it was a Dysdera, I don't think there is any other British spider with such long fangs and chelicers of red colour, but what do you think? These flimsy Pholcus make good bets for spider battles!

| | | Re: Pholcus 1, Dysdera 0 They are voracious predators. In my house they've overcome several Tegenaria + a couple of centipedes. |

| | | Re: Pholcus 1, Dysdera 0 It does make you wonder whether they are having a significant effect on the other spider species that like to share a home with us. I can almost guarantee that I can find one in the living room. They appear everywhere you go, they must be the pigeons of the spider world!
They do tend to wee a lot too!
