| | | Theridiidae? Pair Hi,
I'm having trouble finding anything like these, Theridiidae is the closest I can find. Size ~3mm. 12th May 2010.
Help appreciated, thanks!
Janet

| | | Re: Theridiidae? Pair Very likely to be a pair, could well be Linyphiidae sp and look similar to possibly Robertus sp.? at a glance. Will have a longer look if I get the chance soon.

| | | Re: Theridiidae? Pair Thanks No. 9, I had looked at Robertus and thought there was a good likeness, but that is in Theridiidae?
There's pics of Robertus lividus here, out of the Robertus species we have that one seems to be the most common.

| | | Re: Theridiidae? Pair Sorry, badly phrased sentence. Robertus sp. are in Theridiidae, but there are quite a few similar looking species in Linyphiidae also. The male palp that's visible may be a help.

| | | Re: Theridiidae? Pair I kind of thought that's what you meant! Shame I couldn't get better photos, but holding a 4 pound weight camera with one hand while holding a leaf with the other to get shots of two 3mm spiders is not the easiest.
I'll await your posssible verdict, thanks.

| | | Re: Theridiidae? Pair I've been looking around and think this is Linyphiidae.
I found a great site! Araneoncus crassiceps comes close, there's pics of male palps.. I haven't been through them all though, but the extra bits sticking out the palps like this one has seems to be not common. Linyphiidae A-D mine edderkopper Summary for Araeoncus crassiceps (Araneae)
