It rather looks like a well coloured Meta segmenta female to me.

The black caparace marking does resemble the 'tuning fork' mark of Linyphia triangularis but I would still suspect M. segmenta.

But best wait for a real expert.

Thanks for your help Geoff, much appreciated.

From the several quite similar(ish) images I've since found of M. segmentata I note the tuning fork mark is also present in this species (and indeed very similar in appearance to the mark on my spider).
