Hello,
Can someone shed some light on this spider that is in our porchway.
Is it something I need to be worried about.

That is a Steatoda nobilis, one of the False Widows; nothing to worry about, if you leave her alone she won't bother you.

Ive just been reading up on it, It was first recorded in Britain near Torquay in 1879!

so do i we have loads of them she will do more good than arm i feed mine flies etc she my little wild pet

That looks like S. nobilis as well. There is nothing to be worried about, they're just spiders.
