I just have this silly mental picture of this wonderful lady rushed off her feet, going from spiderling to spiderling with a tiny bottle- it was the hand reared part!!
Good on her. Hope they all make it.

I have seen the smaller Dolomedes fimbriatus in Abernethy forest (Aviemore) - they are truly impressive spiders.
I wonder if a similar captive-breeding project was done for the Ladybird Spider? I'll have a wee look on the web as I'd love to see photos of that too.
And I'm pleasantly surprised to see an article like this appear in the Daily Mail (of all places!). |
