Grey and black pointed abdomen with 4 white dots in a line and striped legs.
I have a pic if anyone wants to see it.

I'm assuming from a quick google search these are harmless ?
I know squat about spiders and havent seen one of these before and wasn't sure if it was a domestic species |

| | | Re: spider id help please Yes they are harmless and will only bite if continually provoked or squashed. I'm surprised you haven't seen them as they are very common in and around gardens. |

I can't see the white cross feature on mine that is attributed to the species you specifed.
Plus the black and grey colouring on mine looks different to the library images. |
