| | | Jumping Spider ID Hi everyone,
I have another Jumper I'd like ID'd if anyone can help, or as in previous post's if anyone has any idea wether it's a British species or European it would be a great help.
Cheers.

| | | Re: Jumping Spider ID Cheers Vince, I find photography very confusing but I'll keep working at it
Gatekeeper, the majority of jumpers I find are found at work. We import alot of goods from Italy, Spain, Germany and Portugal, so this is why I'm keen to know if the species is British or European.
Cheers.

| | | Re: Jumping Spider ID Southern Europe is a very strong possibility yes. Twelve months ago I'd have just excepted that the jumpers I was finding were european but after reading since that the UK has around twenty six species of Salticids I've become very unsure of each ones origin.
I usually have a head start with trying to find the ID because I know the country that the item it's been found on has come from but occasionally ( like this one ) it's harder because it was found wandering around.
I'm sorry I can't be of more help but I'll keep looking, I might get lucky.
If you know of any good sites that could be used for getting an ID please let me know.
Cheers.

| | | Re: Jumping Spider ID I'd say it's a non native species though exactly what I've no idea at the moment. I'll checkout a few books when I get the chance.
