Wasp Spider
Found this today near West Wittering West Sussex - very windy, so not as sharp as I would have liked !

I saw my first ever UK one many years back at Pagham Harbour NR, not too far away. These days of course pretty common in the south, not the notable rarity it was then- always great to see. Not a bad photo given the conditions!

Last month I was showing a group of people several of these in close proximity in an area of Juncus in Richmond Park when somebody accidentally disturbed a Long-winged Conehead which leapt into a web, which the large female Wasp Spider proceeded to ready wrap immediately. She was very efficient in processing her next meal!

I have yet to see one of these spiders. Thank you for this post as I now know what to look out for. I'm no expert, but good picture if I may say so!
