Strange spider - can anyone id it?
I've tried looking this spider up, but I really can't work out what it is. Can anyone help.
When it was moved, it shot loads of long web horizontally out at high speed - really strange, something I've never seen before.

That looks like an Araneus diadematus, though the photo is unclear.

Ive googled images now I have a name...and I think thats the one!
Thank you.

I've never seen a spider 'shoot' its web like that before...very strange a little like the cartoons of spiderman!
