got me stumped

Last sunday I was clearing out the loft when I came across a jet black spider with three small yellow spots on it back. At first I thought it was a false black widow. but I have seen several and know what to look for. But this one was slightly larger by a few mm. I never seen one like that before so I looked on line and have had no luck finding out what it is. can anyone help!

i'll try wont be up in the roof again till the weekend as we got workman in tomorrow. but I'll try and catch one tho saying that I let one go near the greenhouse when it decided to a ride with a sewing table.

If its any help the abdamin is not pea shaped more oval shaped. the false black widow is more pea shaped.

If it's in the UK, I think it's unlikely to be Latrodectus ; more likely to be Steatoda, but a photo or drawing with the size would be useful.
