Spider for ID
Found this spider yesterday. It did not have a web but I think it is a hunting spider.

Yes, it's definitely either Metellina segmentata or M. mengei.

Thank you Sebastian and Frits.

I have read about the differences between the two species suggested and agree that it is unlikely to seperate these in an image. I have opted to go for M. segmentata. This being on the grounds that it is more common and also the date of the image.
