Unidentified tiny white spider in bay tree.

While doing that annual chore of trimming the bay tree I spotted this tiny white spider, nothing like the tiny crab spiders we get in our flower heads, and wondered if anyone could offer a suggestion upon identity.

Barely the size of a five pence coin.

Apologies for poor image but it would not oblige and stay still even for a moment.

My wife Margaret took the photograph.

That's what is known as a Candy stripe spider, either Enoplognatha ovata or Enoplognatha latimana. The two species are very similar.

Hi John,
I struggle to try and get to grips with the WAB web page but when I do I never cease to be amazed at the wealth of knowldeg that other members hold and are so willing to share .
