This tiny little spider was climbing the wall in the house,I'm guessing its a young 'un as it was almost transparent in the leg department

A so-called Spitting Spider, Scytodes thoracica. It captures prey by "spitting" a spray of gum/venom over its prey.

Is it a young one or is that full sized - body was only 2-3mm long?

Definitely not Scytodes thoracica I'm afraid, the carapaces are extremely distinct, more of a Theridion species possibly.

Looks like Platnickina tincta (aka Theridion tinctum) to me.
