| | | Mystery spider in reed bed.
This tiny chap I spotted in a reed bed. It was very small indeed and to my untrained eye it looks like a male but I would be delighted if someone could identify it please.
My wife takes the photograohs and I struggle with trying to identify what she 'snaps' |

| | | Re: Mystery spider in reed bed. I thought it looked like a male A. diadematus, but the abdominal markings are more like Metellina.

| | | Re: Mystery spider in reed bed. On second look I'd say a poorly marked Araneus diadematus, the palpal detail looks pretty good for it, and the carapace is totally wrong for Metellina sp.
