spider ID

This is my first thread on this website but we are intriged to find out the identification of a spider that we found today in our car quite happily creeping up the front seat.

Its a light yellow/white in colour and its front four legs are a lot longer than the back four and every now and again it lifts the front two legs up as in an attacking or defensive mode.

Would be grateful if anyone has any ideas on its name.

I think from the colour + the shape it might have been a crab spider, Misumena vatia. Check images in the Gallery to confirm.

Thank you for the identification of our spider - think its definately a female crab spider (Misumena vatia) Was slightly alarmed by its colour as hadnt seen one like it before. Will let it go into our garden then where it belongs - right at the bottom!
