| | | unknown spider - long and green This spider was living in the underside of the edge of the pool but managed to climb onto the hosepipe so I could get a shot of him. Any ideas please?

| | | Re: unknown spider - long and green Thank you Meta Menardi. The very tatty web is across the corner but she is hanging around in the opposite corner and I watched her going into a little hole. I wonder where the webmaker is? Thank you for the heads up. |

Thank you for the tip. If she obligingly shows me her underside I shall take a photo to help confirm ID but if she doesn't I shall leave her alone as I like spiders when they are motionless lol.

| | | Re: unknown spider - long and green Jason,
She was very kind to build a web in the corner of the swimming pool (over the water) and show me her underside. I have attached two pics in the hope that she can now be itentified as extensa. .
The pics may have a little shake as the breeze was blowing and I was leaning over the pool and hand holding the camera, very awkward position.
Thank you for your help.

A little difficult to make out, but I think I'll plump for extensa, looks like a paler patch in the middle of the sternum? |
