| | | Re: Baby harvestman for identification It has to be D ramosus, only native Oplione with a bifurcated palp. It's funny, we have them round here (N Yorks), but in my slow and foolish way I have never thought about immatures. Only recently expanded it's range, I have found it in 2 northern areas and it has been only the first of perhaps ten records for that area. Worth reporting to a local recorder.

I'm pretty sure that this must be a juvenile male as there were a lot of these on the same shrub and there were two distinct forms. This form is much more like the adult male D. ramosus. I might have a pic of the other type to post for comparison.
