baby spiders

hi,
i have a couple of questions about baby spiders, i took this photo of a web full of baby spiders on our porch (sorry for the blurred pic but it was windy and the web would settle to let the camera focus)



my questions are:-

1) the yellow that i saw on them, is that yolk to help feed them after they hatch and if so how long does that last on average?

and

2) what do they prey on when they are that small?

They look like baby Garden spiders - Araneus diademata. They will disperse soon and find their own way into the garden. The yellow is a marking on their bodies. They extrude silk and get blown on the wind like parachutes.

They are Araneus diadematus spiderlings, after they disperse they prey on whatever gets caught in their webs that they can subdue.
