This is not a spider but a harvestman; I can't identify it further than that I'm afraid. |

You're welcome, sorry I can't be more specific. I'm sure someone will be able to tell you more.
There don't seem to be many decent spider books around; one of the most popular seems to be the Collins Field Guide to Spiders by Michael Roberts. |

Just ordered the book, good write up in reviews on Amazon and better than what I've got at the moment thanks.
