Does any one know what this spider is called?

I was sitting down in my living room and noticed in the corner a spider which was quite large for England.The spider has a long and thin brown body. The legs are quite long as well.
Please if you know what it is.

I'm not an expert but it looks like a male house spider to me. They have smaller bodies and longer legs thatn the females, I believe.

It's definitely male. Looks like Tegenaria sp. but couldn't say which one.
