Isn't this the most beautiful spider? I'm useless at identifying spiders. I've got lots of these living in the house.

Yes they're a great spider the Tegenaria species - House spider. Hard to determine exact species without the microscope and sometimes not obvious with one either!

There's something about spiders and insects that's sort of machine-like in its precise beauty. These are so magnificently marked and flawless, down to the tiny hairs on their legs.
