| | | Unidentified spider Hi folks
Not logged on for a (very) long time so hope I've got it right this time.
I was out with Wildlife Trust colleagues doing a survey on a regenerated colliery pitmound in Telford when a colleague found this spider. Try as I might I can't ID.
Any help appreciated.
Many thanks. |

| | | Re: Unidentified spider It's a young Tetragnatha species. When they grow older, the body becomes quite elongated.

| | | Re: Unidentified spider I thought it might be a juvenile of some species but I didn't think of Tetragnatha. Now I look again, the relative position of the anterior and posterior lateral eyes look right for Tetragnatha and we've certainly recorded both T. montana and T. extensa locally so its highly likely to be one of those.
Many thanks for your help. | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
