I am so completely and utterly sure that I'm right and aren't setting myself up for ridicule that I have 100% identified this one (I think it is quite distinctive).

Textrix denticulata - male. In my house! (probably looking for a female).

I just wish I had a better photo!

Evening Dave,

It looks very much like it - though I'm not aware of confusion species. It is often associated with homes, so the location looks correct too. As Lycosid-looking as it is, it's from the Agelenidae family which includes familiar house spiders Tegenaria spp.

I almost did confuse it for a Lycosid, until I saw those huge spinners!!
