Wolf spider - Trochosa sp.

Hi,

this chap was running around in the kitchen last night. I suspect he may have come in with a load of firewood.



I'm pretty sure it's a male Trochosa sp. possibly T. terricola, but wondered if there are other possibilities and whether it can be identified to species.

Forgot to say, body length approx 6-7mm

It looks ok for Trochosa terricola male, having the darkened tibia and metatarsus on leg I.

Thanks No. 9, the dark front legs lead me to T. terricola but I wasn't sure if they were specific only to that species.

i was bit by one of them once, quite sore for a few days (i have a tendency to poke into spiders webs or poke sticks near spiders... sometimes they are quicker than me!)
