| | | Tarantula Sighting im asking a quick question, last year i was in Gravesend, Kent, on holiday, i live in Australia. i was walking along the foot path feeling rather jet lagged, then i notice something on the ground, it was a spider (husk?) of what im positive was a mexican red kneed tarantula. it was the biggest I've ever seen a spider. And i know fairly big as living in Australia i come across decent sized Huntsman fairly often.
i understand you can keep them as pets over there, so maybe it escaped, would it be able to survive in that climate?
and is it common place for Tarantula sightings? |

| | | Re: Tarantula Sighting They are regularly kept as pets and the red knee is one of the most common , familiar, and docile.they shed there skins regularly through there lifetime and this was probably the discarded shedding of someones pet. maybe even planted so someone found it giving the owner a good chuckle!
