| | | Jumping Spiders Hi,
I have had these for a while now and have not been able to get an I.D. on them. I found them while looking for Zebra spiders in Hythe. |

| | | Re: Jumping Spiders Treehawk,
Somehow I'm unable to edit my previous post, so I'll correct myself with another reply:
Regarding the first spider: there are a few Heliophanus species which resemble the one in your photo. It could also be a H. cupreus female. Maybe someone with more expericence with this genus can say more.

| | | Re: Jumping Spiders As I understand the difference (small print cop out) between H. cupreus and H. flavipes. H. cupreus females have some black markings on the femur and tibia of all legs, but H. flavipes females have entirely yellow first and second legs.
Males are virtually identical from a photo.
I would like a closer image from another angle to be totally sure but it does look rather like there are dark lines on all legs here; which would suggest H. cupreus, providing it is a female.
But there may also be other variations, of which I am unaware.

Reason: extra line.
