My first spider of 2010

This lad appeared on the kitchen wall about a week ago:

Afternoon Hed,

It's an Amaurobius sp., but can't go further - though it is female, as are most spiders in the colder months. These species are often found under leaf-litter and garden decking so there is a good chance it has over-wintered as an adult.

It's an Amaurobius species and in this instance from what I can see I'd say Amaurobius similis as opposed to A. fenestralis.
