I found this spider yesterday under dead leaves in a heathery area. It's about 8mm long. I'm pretty sure it's a Gnaphosid, but not sure which genus, let alone which species. Anyone have a clue?

It can't be a Clubiona; the width of the eye region is way too small compared to the max. width of the prosoma.

It definitely has the appearance of one of the Gnaphosidae family, though the eyes are not distinctly recurved, ruling out Gnaphosa sp.
What species of Scotophaeus do you have over there?

Yes, I noticed the curvature of the eyes, and am considering Scotophaeus, but also Haplodrassus. We have S. blackwalli, scutulatus, and quadripunctatus. They are supposed to be equally common around here...
