Steatoda ID please

Hi all, found this male wandering round my bath-tub, was small at only about 3mm. Steatoda?

Could be S. Nobilis but I'm not sure the photos are clear enough to give an accurate ID. When was it taken and in what region?

Could do with some better shots of the markings on the abdomen.

These were the best shots unfortunately. They were taken in December in Bristol, in a 2nd floor flat if that helps lol!

Given the time of year and how I'm not convinced about the markings, I'd be surprised if it was a Nobilis.

I agree the makings don't look right but the time of year is irrelevant when considering this photo was taken indoors.

I'm more inclind towards a rather hungry S.Grossa but i wouldn't want to say that it was this for sure.

Afternoon Seb,

I think WH85 has hit the nail on the head - a hungry/dehydrated (the abdomen has shrunk) grossa in my opinion. I looked in on this thread a few days ago but couldn't identify it, but looks like WH85 may well have done.
