I photographed this spider with its egg coccoon in Cantabria, northern Spain in 2005 and identified it as Steatoda paykulliana. Was I correct? |

Yes, I'd say you are - female too, by the narrow palps ( males' are round-tipped like suspended punch-bags)
As a disclaimer though, I'd reiterate that I am UK-based and not familiar with continental Theridiidae species. Wild About Britain has a sister-site/forum that covers international flora/fauna, www.wildabouttheworld.com/forums
