Question [ID] Araniella sp.?
Hi all

I found this today, on a plant with shiney/waxed leaves - no idea which one though! I saw it from a distance initially, thinking from the position of the front legs it was a Crab Spider. However, from closer inspection it was in a web-like sheet, and had six punctures on the abdomen. Quite a colourful thing I thought!

I just wonder if it may be Araniella cucurbitina or the almost identical A. opisthographa. Both can be a bit variable in colour and I believe juveniles are often a reddish orange colour.

But just a guess, not a positive ID.
