Strange Steatoda nobilis?

I found this lovely nobilis on my parent's garden shed - good clear markings, size around 9mm.



I also found this other spider - beautiful (and somewhat similar?) markings, same location (2 feet apart), but a more elongated, pointier adbomen. Probably closer to 15mm long.
Is it another nobilis?

Looks like another S. nobilis, but less well fed. Can't quite see whether it's a male (palps are not visible) as they tend to be 'slimmer'.

can i just say how utterly jealous i am that you get to see this amazing spider in ur part of t country. up here in the north we don't get anything anywere as interesting but i plan to move south at some point if only to be closere to these Steatoda spp. great spiders
