| | | Unidentified harvestman I guess this post should more accurately be in the Insects and Invertebrates forum but (even though they're not) I think of them as honorary spiders.
Stockgrove Country Park, Beds. On top of eye level fence so unfortunately no dorsal shots. Help with identification appreciated:
I love these characters!

| | | Re: Unidentified harvestman Certainly appears to be a female Paroligolophus agrestis, they have an orange tinge to the saddle, which this has, they have a trident, which i cant see very well here, but they have three smaller spines in-between the trident and eye turret, visible here. |

| | | Re: Unidentified harvestman Thanks for your help Gordon. I have one other out-of-focus shot from a slightly different angle that shows what I'm pretty sure is the trident - so I think you are right with P. agrestis

| | | Re: Unidentified harvestman Yes its a bit of an old weathered specimen. they are usually a lot lighter in colour than that, as for the O. tridens, it would be extremely unusual to find one out in the open, there always under something when i find them ... | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
