| | | Amaurobius similis? Would amaurobius similis be a good bet for this handsome fellow, who I found in the kitchen sink on 19.11.09.

I thought Amaurobius similis due to the number of 'chevrons' that I saw on the abdomen, i.e. 4, unfortunately this is not very aparent on the photo. Also that he was inside the house made me think of A. similis.

| | | Re: Amaurobius similis? A good indicator, probably more so in mature females, is the cardiac mark which in A. similis tends to be separated down the centre. It is not however 100% reliable.
