| | Spiders Meeting Circle!? A year or so ago myself and a few others were walking home at night and encountered a group of maybe 6-8 spiders stood completely still in an almost perfect circle, facing eachother, in the middle of the pavement. They were dark in colour, just ordinary house spiders I think but quite large, perhaps 2-3 inches long.
We were all completely puzzled as to what they were doing. Just yesterday I remembered the inncident and searched it on google to see if I could find an answer but after 30min have had no such luck.
Could anyone here shed any light on the topic as we still completely baffled!
Thanks |

lol....no idea really, but as a spider fan, I am interested as to what our resident spider experts have to say about this
Welcome to WAB by the way.

I've never personally witnessed , nor read about spiders grouping like this and couldn't for one moment imagine why (not even accounting for pheromones of a female spider). Being outdoors and in the open it's unlikely to be Tegenaria sp. anyway, and I can't imagine any other species being around in any number as they are, for the most part, all solitary creatures.
So Opiliones get my vote.
