| | | Bright green Spider I found this strikingly green spider today whilst looking for fungi or should i say it found my body warmer which i had been laying on whilst taking a photo of some shrooms. It was a really bright almost neon colour and when i went to move it off it jumped upwards and was not intimidated at all. I tilted my jacket and it fell off and then crawled back towards it I'm guessing it liked the heat
any ideas what it could be?
thanks in advance

| | | Re: Bright green Spider These are stunning spiders- a really luminescent spider. I saw my first many years back in a moth trap in Dorset.
I hadn't seen another until earlier this year when I saw c6 on a trip to Ashdown Forest in East Sussex. Nice find! |

| | | Re: Bright green Spider Thanks for the swift response folks, I looked at the distribution map and the cluster of three dots on north east kent were a good representation of my stomping ground. The two lower dots were probably V. close to my find site as it was around 8 miles in land. I'll keep em peeled (as Shaw taylor would say) and let you know if i find them in other woods around.
Many thanks again
