Red Spider - identification


Can anyone idently this spider for me? Seen October 2009 on a window of a cottage in the Blackdown Hills, Devon 800 feet asl?

I would say Zygiella x-notata.

Looking at the abdomen and the leg posture, I think this is a Metellina sp. (probably segmentata, during this time of year).
(Zygiellas don't have as many leg spines as this one does, and this spider also doesn't have the silvery marking on the abdomen.)
