Spider ID please

Hi, first time on this section Can anyone ID this spider for me please. It was on a wall in our living room, about 1` 1/2 inch across. I`d guess it`s a house spider but it has no markings but I no nothing

Legs are much too short for any of the Tegenaria species.

As it is indoors and has prominent spinners I would hazard a guess at Scotophaeus blackwalli (Gnaphosidae family). Around 10-12 mm head to tail for a female.

A Clubionidae species is also possible but they are mostly outside animals.

Thanks Geoff, the legs do look short for a house spider don`t they. I will google the ones you`ve suggested & have a look
