Good evening Weasel, and welcome to WAB

Your spider is Araneus quadratus. That's is the Latin/scientific name - it lacks an individual English one. I'd like to find this beauty one day! The UK has 600+ different types of spider.

I would say that is one of the better recently given names. It does describe the beast and give some information about it's way of working.
