| | | Spider ID 4 This female has stumped me. I first thought a Therididae, but she was approx 10mm. Her abdomen was around 6mm high! I havent eve ncome across this species before so any help would be appreciated. Found in amongst timber at work in Bristol |

| | | Re: Spider ID 4 Bit out on a limb as I'm away from home at the minute. Mimetidae sprung to mind on this one but not 100% from these photo's.
No.9 Spider

| | | Re: Spider ID 4 Had a look, only one genus in that family Ero with a choice of 4 species. Unfortunately none show an y markings close to this one, and all their cephalothorax is light with a broad dark band, whereas this specimen is all dark. Im really not sure on this lady |

| | | Re: Spider ID 4 When pregnant, they can be larger than the sizes mentioned in literature. I'm certainly not an expert, so I couldn't tell you which genus it is, but I would keep looking in the Theridiidae section. |

| | | Re: Spider ID 4 Tough to say from these photos - possibly an Achaearanea sp (A. tepidariorum springs to mind). They are very variable on colour and markings so that's not 100% confirmation.
