Spider ID, please?

I think it's a Giant House Spider, but just wanted to check.

get these fellas quite frequently in my room. Don't mind them, in fact I find them fascinating and kinda cute.

Just wanted to be certain what they actually are, though.

Certainly looks like one of the Tegenaria species to me. Possibly a male but I can't see a clear view of the appropriate parts.

Definitely a male, they have the long legs, and in the last image you can clearly see the palps

With those long legs, looks like Tegenaria parietina to me

Agreed, I often get these scuttling across my lounge, the cat goes mad because I won't let him chase them! They're often known as the 'Cardinal Spider', and are so common in houses that the pic in my collins gem book shows one in a bath!

I think they're lovely spiders with those long slender legs, nice to know you're happy to leave them be.
