| | | Predatory spidermite ? Biggest spider mite i've seen around 1.6mm body length - It was running around at high speed for quite a while on a water barrel lid but eventually stopped for a while to cool it's feet off 
Any ideas on ID ?

| | | Re: Predatory spidermite ? I'm no mite expert but it certainly looks like Anystis, and the description of its behaviour fits too. They change around like crazy, on rather circuitous routes, for a minute or two then stop for a breather. Anyway, compare your pic with his one - red mite eating - Anystis - BugGuide.Net |
