Black spider ID

Hi there, I found this interesting looking little individual behind the wheelie-bin outside among some dead leaves. I live in Wiltshire if it helps!
It wasn't very large, less than an inch in diameter including legs and it had a very glossy appearance.

After doing some looking online now that I have an ID it turns out it's pretty common. Oh well, first one I've ever seen before and I've kept ferrets in hutches and sheds for years! You'd think one would have shown it's face before now. A very pretty little spider though, the maroon colour on the abdomen was really quite a striking contrast to the glossy black body.
