| | | Baby house spider help please read!!!!! Hey all
I need some help, about amonth back i saw a house spider in the house, and i moved it in the outhouse before my bro would kill it and i think it hatched some baby house psider eggs, as now we have baby house spiders round the house. And my mum is going to suck them up with the hoover tomorrow, but i was wondering would it be safe to like put them in the shed, as i want to move them without her knowing but there`s another house spider in there and i don`t know wether it`ll be to cold in there or wether there parents are in the house and wether they`re stave.
Please help this is serious.
Thanks a billion
Carl

| | | Re: Baby house spider help please read!!!!! Evening Carl,
I don't see a problem in moving them to a shed - provided there's enough prey items naturally around. The one already there should tolerate them. As for it being cold, they should cope. Don't forget, it's August now and these spiders tend to go on through winter in our houses as other outdoor species tend to die off, so they may return in due course. The parents may be in the house, I should think pretty likely - but there is no dependancy between the spiderlings and adults. The eggs are laid, and when they hatch I believe they disperse as independants. No doubt a spider expert will respond soon...
Take care,
Jason |

Thanks a billion Jason i wasn`t to sure wether they depended on the parents, that`s what worried me the most, do you think it`ll be ok to put them in a small juice bottle with small holes for the night? as i`m not sure wether i`ll be able to get them tomorrow,as i don`t know what my mum`s doing, she might hoover while i`m still asleep.or would they eat each other?

| | | Re: Baby house spider help please read!!!!! How many are we talking about here? I'd personally avoid containing several together - I'm sure they'll be OK left as they are overnight. When they see the hoover coming, I'm sure they'll run a mile under the nearest cupboard
