Found it at work today and gave it a "Daddy Longlegs" for lunch.

Hi Billy, welcome to WAB!

It looks like the Gray Cross Spider, Larinioides sclopetarius which is locally-distributed across the UK. Whilst I think it is, there are others far more knowledgeable in arachnids than I who may confirm my ID, or otherwise

I'm on the Tanfield Industrial Estate near Stanley, County Durham.

I've had a look on Google Earth and can't see any water around there though.

W - 1.695967


Going to keep feeding him and see what other pics I can get.

See if you can get a top down shot as there are a number of possibilities.

Larinioides sclopetarius generally likes to be near water, hence Venger's question.
