From the colour I first thought L. rotundum, but the eyes look wrong.

It was a fairly chunky one Gordon, 6-8mm long.
This is an enlargement of one of the above pics but it doesn't show the 'business' end. Another shot looks like it has a simple claw on the palp but it's hard to be sure. 
I'll PM the full size pics to you if you'd like to have a better look.

I`m thinking about Mitopus morio(f) at the moment, i can see the three small spines which form the trident, nice hour glass shaped saddle, size is also right .
I have never seen one myself, and i`m just going by the description in the thread on my forum, and a few online images(which cant always be trusted). |

I found this one a couple of weeks ago in the same place which I thought could be M. morio (going mainly by the hour-glass shape).  
Have seen (but not photographed) other similar looking ones here too.
