| | | Spider ID Please can somebody tell me which spider this is. It lives on a large foot wide flat web in our garden, unfortunately this is best photo I can get because the bush it lives in is bordered by a pond and a fence

| | | Re: Spider ID I have better photo's, just need to download and pop on here. I cannot believe what I witnessed, I posted about a parasytic wasp on the forum. The wasp had caught a hoverfly and was on it's way back to the nest in a log and flew into this spiders web. The Wasp tried to escape, dropped the hoverfly, the spider came rushing out and killed the wasp... amazing! |

I can see why it got that name from it's web which goes all over the place, things easily get lost in it and the spider makes a meal of them.

They are all in Tesco doing their shopping I suppose
ps. That makes 2 amateurs, I am an amateur photographer, we seem to be doing quite well for amateurs
